Wilddate

Privacy policy

How Wilddate uses your data.

Data controller

Your data is controlled by the private, non-commercial operator of the site. You can get in touch through the site's contact form.

How to complain

If something about your data worries you, please raise it first through the site's contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the supervisory authority for the United Kingdom, at ico.org.uk.

Purposes and lawful basis

We use your data only to operate the site and respond to you. The lawful basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR), with consent where required (Article 6(1)(a)). Your data is never sold or rented.

What is collected

Only the data needed to reply is collected: your name, an email and, if you wish, a phone number, your message and technical data such as your IP address. No special category data is requested.

Your rights

The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 let you access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. Use the site's contact form to do so.

Updates

We update this policy if the law or the service changes. The version published here applies.

Retention

We keep data only while needed and then delete it, save where a legal duty applies. Server logs are held briefly.

Use of cookies

Only strictly necessary cookies are used. Advertising or analytics cookies are set only with your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), withdrawable at any time. Your browser settings also let you refuse cookies.
